St. James Episcopal School seeks a culturally competent and responsive faculty member to teach in our Elementary/Early Childhood classes for the 2021-2022 academic school year. This position may teach any PK4 - K, depending on what is needed. The lead teacher will work closely with a Teaching Assistant.
Strong preference is for a lively educator who has obtained a Bachelor degree or higher in Early Childhood/ Elementary Education and/or has significant teaching experience with elementary-age students. The ideal candidate will have a genuine ability to “connect” with students and be comfortable incorporating the use of various technologies to support student learning. The desire to plan and work collaboratively on a team is essential. Faculty must be willing to actively participate in committees and school life outside the classroom. CPR / First Aid and other training and background checks will be required upon hire.

Elementary School Teaching Assistant

Strong preference will be given to motivated and enthusiastic candidates who have obtained or are working on completing an education degree. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and experience working with elementary school-aged children. Candidates should be professionals who embrace working in a highly collaborative and collegial environment and should be comfortable incorporating various technologies to support student learning. Early Childhood Teaching Assistant
St. James Episcopal School is looking for experienced Teaching Assistants to work in our Early Childhood Program starting August 2021.
The ideal candidate will have already completed the Child Development Associate (CDA) credentialing.
The candidate could also be a high school graduate, at least 19 years of age, working towards a degree in early education, or holds CDA credentialing, and has experience in an early childhood program. CPR / First Aid and other training and background checks will be required upon hire.
